Through out the ages, the global human consciences has gone through change: the ages of myth, the Dark Age, the Age of Enlightenment and the Modern Age. Through these ages, all areas of culture and thought are affected. This includes the belief in God and Christianity.
So how do we as the church respond?

Great Job Shawne! I'm so sad I missed the Sunday, I really wanted to be there. What you and Andrew said re-affirmed what I've been reading and studying on here in the Sault. There is no judgement only love and compassion. Compassion to me has been big the last few days. Putting my self in others shoes and feeling what they feel allows me to feel emotion and compassion to that person although they have just tried to hurt me. Everybody is made of good things and bad things and I've focused so long on many bads and have only gotten down on myself then and been unhappy. But when you focus on the good in people, the Godly things in people - it changes you. It makes you a better person, a Holier a person, a person that wants to serve God with all your heart. It's time for me to step up and look at things differently. It's my responsibility to love and not judge, to have compassion for every person I meet whether I want to or not. I know this will be a journey, but I'm trying. I believe my first tests are happening as I'm here and I'm praying for God's spirit to just help me through and allow me to see people through His eyes. Jesus never disliked - He always loved. How will I respond? It's my decision, my responsibility to change my way of thinking. Thanks for such a great job guys!!
Wow Sue.
I am so glad that it had such an amazing effect on you. I felt all the same things when I began to realize that the changes which are happening 'out there' and within me are real and God knows all about it.
It was a confusing time at times but so affirming. There is so much more for me to learn and understand.
